Browser Safe Color Palette

Here is a palette of 216 colors that are guaranteed not to shift or dither in either Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer on a PC or Mac when the web site visitor's computer is set to 256 colors. The Browser safe color palettes was originally developed by Lynda Weinman (www.lynda.com). There are many possible arrangements of this palette (some more artistically useful than others).

You can create a browser safe color by any Red, Green and Blue (RGB) combination of the following color values:

In standard decimal values: 0, 51, 102, 153, 204 and 255.
In Hexadecimal (base 16): 00, 33, 66, 99, CC, FF

Example

Red=0 Blue=102 and Green=51
(in hex notation Red=00, Blue=66, and Green=33).
IS a browser safe color.

Red=3 Blue=102 Green=54
(in hex notation: Red=03 Blue=66 and Green=36)
IS NOT
a browser safe color
